The Teacher Toolkit Series

Our Teacher Toolkit webinar series is ideal for both new and experienced special education teachers who are looking to fine-tune their implementation of best practices to support students with disabilities. The five-part series focuses on the “how-to” of special education instruction. This includes elements such as classroom setup, behavior support strategies, and instructional strategies. Each session is approximately 90 minutes.

Teacher Toolkit participants will:

  • Identify environmental factors of a universally designed classroom, including lighting options, flexible workspaces, and overall classroom accessibility.

  • Understand the benefits of using visual supports to create student schedules, staff schedules, and learner prompts.

  • Unpack standards to increase access to academic content for students with disabilities.

  • Identify specific ways to document student progress throughout the school year.
